Managing Director: Bernd Schrimpf
Bernd Schrimpf is a graduate from the Technical University in Clausthal-Zellerfeld (Germany) in 1980 and holds a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering. The same year he joined Wintershall as a Drilling Engineer. Since then he worked in various positions within the head quarter in Kassel and the international locations of the Company. He possesses a wealth of 16 years international experiences as Operations Manager in Libya, Germany and the Dutch North Sea. During these periods he was responsible for all operation activities and numerous field development projects. Before being appointed as Managing Director of Wintershall Norge ASA as of October 1st 2010 Bernd Schrimpf ran the operative activities of Wintershall in Germany in a similar position as General Manager.
Finance & Administration Manager: Ulrich Bollhauer
Ulrich Bollhauer studied Industrial Engineering (Diplom Wirtschaftsingenieur) at the University of Karlsruhe and the University of California (Berkeley). During his 13 years with BASF Group he gained experience in various positions in the area of finance. Ulrich started his career in Finance and Controlling at the Wintershall headquarters in Kassel, Germany, where he was focusing on acquisition, investment and financing projects. Thereafter, he worked as an Investment Manger at BASF Venture Capital GmbH, Ludwigshafen, Germany. Before Ulrich joined Wintershall in Norway in 2008, he worked as a Senior Controller concentrating on the Region Asia in BASF Polyurethanes headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
Exploration Manager: Guy Oakes
Guy Oakes graduated from Kings College, University of London in 1980 with a degree in Geology. Worked as a geophysicist with Hamilton Brothers predominantly in the North Sea until 1990. He then joined British Gas (later BG) working in many parts of the world including SE Asia and the UK and Norway. He became the Exploration Manager for BG in Norway in 2004. He joined Wintershall in Stavanger as the Exploration Manager in January 2010.
Hr Manager: Tone Samuelsen
Tone Samuelsen graduated with a Master of Management from the Norwegian School of Management in Stavanger. During the last 20 years she has gained diversified experience with different companies (Stavanger kommune, Telia, SpareBank 1 SR-Bank, Stavanger Aftenblad). Tone`s experience comes from Management and the Humans Resources department, where she has been giving advise to managers on organizational policy matters, and recommended needed changes. Through her experience Tone has emphasised the importantance of obtaining, developing as well as retaining the expertise in companies from time to time, where restructuring and winding-up vital issues has been part of the work. She has planned and conducted orientations which has fostered positive attitude toward organizational objectives, and served as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administrating contracts and helping resolve work-related problems. Tone Samuelsen joined Wintershall in June 2009.
General UK Manager: Ivan Inchenko
Ivan joined Revus in May 2008 as UK General Manager. He continued in this position after Revus's acquisition by Wintershall, with responsibility for the company's exploration business in the UK sector of the Central and Northern North Sea. His core competencies are within oil & gas exploration, business development and leadership. He is a B Sc Honours Geology graduate from London University and has more than 30 years of experience in working for E&P companies in the UK and internationally. He has held various technical and managerial positions in his career, including an 18 year spell at Enterprise Oil, where he worked on UK and international projects. He was an integral part of the teams responsible for some of Enterprise's earliest and most significant oil discoveries, progressing to Exploration Manager in Jakarta, Indonesia and to General Manager in Athens, Greece. When Enterprise was acquired by Shell in 2002, he left to become an independent E&P consultant and subsequently took up the position of Exploration Advisor to Lukoil Overseas, based in Moscow.
HSEQ Manager: Janne Lea
Janne Lea holds a MSc degree in Offshore Technology - specialisation within Environmental Technology from University of Stavanger (UiS).
During the last 14 years she has gained experience from the oil & gas industry through various HSE positions in Maersk Drilling and the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA). Her experience and core competencies is within HSE in general, Occupational health & Safety, chemical risk management, quality assurance and regulatory development, audits and supervision activities. In the last years she has held managerial positions, including HSE and HSEQ management in Maersk Drilling, Supervision coordinator in PSA for mobile facilities and drilling contractors , and Project Team Leader for PSA`s project Chemical working environment in offshore petroleum activities.
Operation Manager: Ellen Braune
Ellen joined Revus in 2004. She holds a BSc degree in Engineering from Bergen Engineering College. She has more than 20 years of diversified experience with different oil companies (Norsk Hydro, Saga Petroleum, Statoil and BP Norge), primarily within drilling and well. Her experience and core competencies is within planning and operational support of offshore drilling & well activity, early phase field development and project execution. In the last years Ellen has held several managerial positions, including lead engineer for Statoil on the Åsgard project, Department Manager in Saga Petroleum and Performance and Project Team Leader for BP Norways Drilling and Wells department. Risk/consequence and cost evaluations have been an integral part of her work. She has headed the development of the Management Systems in both BP Norway Drilling Department and in Revus Energy.
Production & Development Manager: Eivind Torheim
Eivind Torheim joined Revus in 2006. He holds a MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Stavanger (UiS). During the last 20 years he has gained experience from the upstream oil & gas industry through various positions in different companies (Elf, Western Atlas, Enterprise Oil, and Shell). His core technical competencies are within the areas of petrophysics, reservoir engineering, and production engineering. Follow-up and management of development and production licenses on the Norwegian continental shelf has been one of his key areas of responsibility during the last years of managerial positions in Enterprise and Shell.
Business Development manager:
Nils Helge Sørgård
Nils Helge Sørgård joined us at Wintershall in April 2011. He previously worked at Statoil for 23 years where he began his career as a financial analyst. Since 1994 he worked in Statoil’s international upstream division, where he obtained experience in business development, negotiations, exploration, operations and management. Sørgård has experience from Africa, Asia, and from North and South America. He has been seconded overseas for a total of seven years to Houston, Lagos (Nigeria) and Singapore. Before he joined Wintershall he was Director of Statoil’s Asia & Oceania Region. Nils Helge Sørgård graduated as an economist from the University of Bergen (1987).
Procurement manager: Cecilie Tefre
Cecilie Tefre joined Wintershall in April 2011 from Statoil where she worked for 14 years. Before joining Statoil she spent a few years at Saga Petroleum. Her experience is mainly in procurement, and she was Procurement Manager in Statoil’s International Division for several years. She also spent 2½ years as Procurement Manager for Statoil Nigeria in Lagos. Cecilie Tefre holds a Master of Management degree from the Norwegian Business School (BI), and includes Supply Chain Management among her specialist subjects.
Maria Project Manager: Hugo Dijkgraaf
Hugo held various positions in Wintershall before joining Wintershall Norge ASA. He worked in several Subsurface & Production roles, in Strategic Planning at Wintershall headquarters in Kassel, Germany and in Operational Management functions. He worked in Germany, The Netherlands, Argentina, Libya and now in Norway. Hugo also worked several years as a platform manager on an offshore North Sea platform. In Wintershall Norge he initially managed a group of 6 development projects in Norway as Asset Manager before focusing on the development of the Maria oil discovery. The Maria project is managed as a separate department in Wintershall Norge. Hugo’s professional interests include HSE, Project Management & Delivery, Operations & Subsurface and working with people and teams in general. Hugo holds an MSc. Degree from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands from where he graduated in Petroleum Engineering, specialization Reservoir Engineering.
