Production and development

The Production and Development Department takes over the successful discoveries made by the Exploration Department and mature them further from early development evaluations through development and production all the way to abandonment. This is a large part of the upstream E&P maturation chain and requires a broad coverage of professional disciplines within geology, geophysics, reservoir technology, completion and production engineering and a variety of specialists within facility engineering. We also work closely with other departments such as Exploration, Drilling, Finance, and Business Development.

Our project evaluations are carried out in accordance with the internal technical guidelines and all projects are subject to the internal technical review and approval processes. The Production and Development Department is responsible for all major capital investment projects in Wintershall.
